About the CDDP Programme
The Demand Driven approach to Supply Chain Management is rapidly emerging as the ‘best practice’ alternative to traditional ‘forecast push MRP’, not only because it delivers a step change in supply chain performance around the key metrics of service, inventory and cost, but also because it is founded upon extremely robust, and simple, principles of Factory Physics, TOC, Lean and Six Sigma.
Companies that have implemented Demand Driven achieve:
- their planned service levels, with
- reduced lead-time and higher responsiveness to market changes, with
- 30% to 50% less average inventory, and
- 80% reduction in expediting activities and cost, and
- cost reductions from higher and more stable capacity utilization, resulting in
- increased returns on assets
The Certified Demand Driven Planner Program was created by a global partnership between the International Supply Chain Education Alliance (ISCEA) and the Demand Driven Institute (DDI). The Program was designed with the specific purpose to educate Supply Chain & Operations Management personnel on the methods and applications of Demand Driven Material Requirements Planning (DDMRP). The CDDP Program is internationally accredited by the IISB (ISCEA International Standards Board) and is listed by Gartner in its market guide for supply chain certification programs.
SmartChain International is part of the DDI's global affiliate network and have two endorsed CDDP instructors. We conduct regular courses in UK and Ireland and we can provide courses on premises to our clients anywhere in the world.
Upon successful completion of the on-line exam the participants receive the CDDP certificate and may place “CDDP” in their professional title.
